Tver 22-25 August 2002 |
From August 22nd -25th we had our second National Training Camp (NTC) in 2002 - this time in Tver. Nineteen men and women came to this camp from 7 cities. Most of them were already working as RR leaders, some were just starting. In this camp God blessed us with large, dedicated Staff. Six leaders came from different cities across Russia to be on staff and teach the men and women outdoor skills. With every new year we have more and more dedicated, experienced leaders in Russia. We believe that this will contribute to continued growth and strengthen RR in all regions of Russia. Our goal is to train as many leaders as possible, which will support RR outposts and expand the ministry. As Jesus said in Matthew 9:37: "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest."

In addition to the regular Staff members we had Commander Mark Broberg as our guest. He is helping in RR ministry in St. Petersburg. We were very much touched by the word he shared at the Council Fire. Before the NTC we had Staff School. It was greatly helped for the staff to teach more effectively in this camp. As we train more and more staff members, Royal Rangers in Russia will grow and reach more boys and girls for Jesus! In this camp we had many interesting lessons. Many students were impressed by the lesson of cooking on fire. Sounds too ordinary? Come and see for yourself!! God gave us good weather. There was no rain during all the camp. It started to rain only when participants packed their backpacks. There was storm in one of days, but it's gone past us. Praise God for His protection. In this NTC we used the Tver's church camp "Glory" again. Praise God for this camp that gave us opportunity to minister that many church leaders! We believe that their lives were changed in this camp. Com. Boris Chikota |
