This was the first Regional Camp in Russia. The camp was held in a scenic place in Ural mountains, about 200 km from Ufa. |

| УThe SourceФ was the
name & main theme of the camp. We were looking for
our Source, how it all started, when man was created by
God and Adam lived without sin. ThatТs how man is
supposed to be. We had 28 participants in the camp from 2 RR outposts. The camp program was full of events, and I am glad to say, it was the best camp weТve ever done (at least from the humble experience of me, Cdr. Boris). There were different, interesting teachings (average about 2 hrs a day) on the subjects of Outdoor Skills, Safety, Compass and Map, Orientiering without a compass, Survival, Astronomy, First Aid, Geology, Anatomy and Local Wildlife. The kids had interesting assignments and practice time. There were different games and workshops. We had a big survival game (that was fun), and a relay race (kids had to practice a lot of things they learned in the camp and show team spirit). We had a lot of fun. And of course we had the Sunday message from the Word of God, Praise and Worship, four Council Fires, skits and songs, etc. The weather didnТt give us too much mercy. It was raining for 3 days out of 6. But by GodТs hand it turned into blessing. Both children and commanders learned to be firm and strong men & women of God, able to serve God in any weather, in any way. And there was a BIG REWARD after the camp. We saw how the lives of the children were changed. They became more open, friendly and serious in what they do and how they live. Cdr. Boris Chikota, |
