Eurocamp 1999
...Breaking Barriers

30 July - 4 August 1999, Germany, near Gotha

EuroCamp 99 gathered more than 5,000 children from 20 countries in Eastern and Western Europe. It was really a big blessing for us that each boy & girl from Western Europe payed a little more to help bring the Eastern Europeans to EuroCamp 99. It reminds us about the precious gift of God. Thanks God for brothers and sisters, and their hearts!!!

It was also the first time Russian kids came together for a major event. Children from the different cities had never met each other before. So this event had another important result: it built unity and vision in childrens' hearts.

Below are some pictures we took at the Eurocamp. Words cannot describe fully what was going on in the camp. We had daily devotion time, games, meetings in the Big Tent; many countries presented interesting workshops (more than 120). The children were able to make many interesting items and have many different experiences!

Russian group at the Gotha station. We had just a few dozen bags :-))

We were blessed richly by the Germans, who prepared food for us every day

Russian workshop. Rangers had the opportunity to paint traditional Russian wooden eggs, boxes & dolls. Even adults were interested in this! More than 120 workshops were presented at the EuroCamp99.

The kids will never forget the meetings all together in the Big Tent. Over 5000 Royal Rangers from 20 countries. We were blessed by the presence of God during our worship times together there.

Here you see all 50 members of Russian/Latvian EuroCamp team. We had a good time together, and we had good time with all the RR from Europe.
